New Low-Cost Airline Launches Flights from Chișinău
The Romanian low-cost carrier “Bees Airlines” is set to begin operations with flights to and from Chișinău starting August 20th of this year.

According to a press release from the airline, flights will connect Chișinău to Verona, Italy, with services scheduled twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Company Background
Founded in Romania by Hungarian entrepreneur Andrij Baganics, “Bees Airlines” is led by Victor Antohe, the former director of Tarom, who currently serves as the CEO.
Brand Ownership and Identity
The name of the airline is reminiscent of the Ukrainian low-cost operator “Bees Airline,” which ceased operations following the onset of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Representatives from “Bees Airlines” have confirmed that they acquired the brand; however, they emphasize that the airline is “100% Romanian.”
