Dapol Plans to Double Fruit Purchases from Moldova
Dapol, a Polish company that has been sourcing fruit from the Republic of Moldova since 2022, has announced its intention to double the quantities purchased from the country. This announcement came during a recent visit to Moldova by representatives of the company, who toured several local fruit producers.
The Polish importer specifically stated its plans to increase the volume of plums and grapes acquired this season from Moldova. The requirements for imported products include proper packaging, compliance with EU certifications, and high-quality standards.
It is noteworthy that Dapol initiated its collaboration with Moldovan fruit producers in 2022, supported by USAID. After starting with a few truckloads of table grapes in 2022, Dapol imported over 700 tons of plums and grapes from Moldova in 2023, according to USAID Moldova.
