Cyprus is at the forefront of digital transformation, with a significant increase in very high capacity network (VHCN) coverage. According to the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, VHCN coverage has reached 77.1% in 2023, showing a substantial growth from the previous year.

With VHCN coverage already at 77.1% and 100% coverage in 5G mobile networks, Cyprus is on track to achieve complete VHCN coverage by the end of 2025. State subsidies are being utilized to expand networks in less profitable regions, ensuring that all citizens have access to high-speed internet connectivity.

One of the key drivers of Cyprus’ digital transformation is the increase in ICT specialists. The country has exceeded the EU average of 4.8% in this field, with a rate of 5.4%.
