Streamlining the Export Finalization Process
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) is taking steps to streamline the export finalization process by introducing a digital notification system. This system will be used to notify the exit of goods from the customs territory of the European Union through a digital message (IE590) sent to the ICISnet system.
Implementation Details
Starting from September 2, it will be mandatory for goods leaving the EU customs territory by sea or air to use this new digital notification system. The introduction of this system aims to reduce the time required to certify exports, speed up value-added tax refunds, and digitize and automate the process of confirming the departure of goods for carriers at the exit customs office.
Accessing the New System
The new digital confirmation message system can be accessed through the ICISnet platform on the myAADE digital portal. This initiative is part of AADE’s ongoing efforts to modernize and digitize customs processes for the benefit of both businesses and the government.
