Updates on Grape Pricing
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management has announced the new pricing for different grape varieties. For the “Smederevka” variety, the cost per kilogram is set to be 18.3 denars, while the “Vranec” variety will be priced at 20.8 denars. These prices have been established based on the calculations from the Agricultural Institute in Skopje, which assessed the production costs for these two predominant grape types for the year 2024.
The 25% increase in pricing complies with the Wine Law, which aims to adjust the market rates in accordance with production expenses. This adjustment reflects the ongoing efforts to support the viticulture sector and ensure fair compensation for grape producers.
