Electric Castle Music Festival Affected by IT Major Failure
Electric Castle music festival was affected by a major IT failure from Microsoft that disrupted air traffic. As a result, Sleaford Mods and Hospitality Takeover were unable to fly to Cluj-Napoca and had to postpone their musical performances.
Artists’ Shows Cancelled
Due to the IT malfunction that caused the majority of flights in Europe and beyond to be grounded, the shows of Sleaford Mods and Hospitality Takeover at Electric Castle are cancelled for today. Fortunately, headliners Paolo Nutini and BMTH are already on site and eager to meet the audience tonight.
Microsoft has just announced that the malfunction has been resolved, and we are working on rescheduling all flights affecting the artists in our lineup. Please remain optimistic and trust that we are doing everything possible to ensure that they can perform.
Organizers’ Statement
Organizers of Electric Castle have expressed their regret over the cancelled shows and assured fans that they are working diligently to address the situation. They have asked for patience and understanding as they navigate the challenges caused by the IT failure.
Electric Castle Festival Update
Unfortunately, due to health issues, the band Queens of the Stone Age has had to cancel their performance at the Electric Castle Festival. Lead singer Josh Homme had to return to the United States for emergency surgery.
Changes at the Festival
The tenth edition of the festival in Bonțida officially kicked off on July 17 and will last until Sunday, July 21. This year, there have been some changes in the layout of the stages. The Hangar stage, the second largest and a favorite spot for fans of live rock concerts and drum & bass shows, will now be located near the castle, with Radio Stage taking its place. Drip Stage has a new look, becoming a hub for urban culture and a place where attendees can see hip-hop, rap, and trap artists from European stages, as well as local talent.
