Continuous Rise in Food Prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The ongoing increase in food prices is continuing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, leading to expectations for measures from the entity governments. According to data from the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the consumer basket in July exceeded 1,500 euros.
This figure is more than double the average salary in the country, highlighting the growing financial strain on consumers. The entity governments have attempted to mitigate the rising inflation through initiatives such as “price freezes,” but consumers view these campaigns as nearly ineffective.
