Support for Wine Producers in Moldova
At least 15 wineries from various regions of Moldova are set to receive grants and expert assistance aimed at boosting their export levels by 15 to 20% and increasing their marketing budgets by 60%. Specifically, small producers, emerging wineries, and top exporters will have access to non-repayable financial support ranging from 300,000 to 800,000 lei.
To qualify for these grants, winemakers are encouraged to submit their applications by August 5th as part of the WESA program, which has a total budget of eight million lei and is scheduled for implementation over the next 12 months.
Objectives of the Program
The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance the sales of value-added wines in non-traditional markets such as Romania, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, Canada, and more.

This initiative is funded by the American Fund for Ukraine-Moldova Enterprises (UMAEF) and will be executed by the National Association of Wine Producers.

As a result of these achievements, Moldova secured the 16th position among the world’s largest wine exporters. The country has successfully established its footprint in approximately 70 international markets, reflecting a robust demand for Moldovan wines and the quality that they embody.
