Inflation in Cyprus
According to the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat), inflation in Cyprus reached 2.2% in the first half of the year on an annual basis. This indicates a rise in consumer prices compared to the same period last year.
Consumer Price Index
Despite the annual increase in inflation, the consumer price index actually decreased by 0.32% when compared to the previous six months (July-December 2023). This decrease is significant, especially when excluding any tax increases on consumption.
