Ongoing Repairs on the Tighina – Căușeni – Cimișlia Highway
The repair work on a segment of the national road Tighina – Căușeni – Cimișlia, which spans 15.108 kilometers and passes through the communities of Hagimus, Ursoaia, Zaim, Sălcuța, Taraclia, Troițcoe, Mihailovca, and Cimișlia, is currently in progress. According to the General Director of the State Road Administration, Sergiu Bejan, who recently conducted an unannounced visit to the construction site, the planned works are about 34% complete.
Project Details and Sector Divisions
The project for the capital repair of the national road R26, covering the distance from kilometer 23.821 to kilometer 46.308, is divided into three distinct sectors. Construction activities began on two of these sectors in March of this year. To date, the contractor has completed road construction work on a 4-kilometer segment of sector 3.
Progress on Construction and Infrastructure Improvements
In addition, the project has seen the installation of 1,628 meters of large curbstone and the construction of 1,120 square meters of sidewalks, which also includes 106 square meters for driveway entrances. As for sector 2, spanning from kilometer 31.2 to kilometer 39, the work progress stands at 24%. In this area, 24 out of 30 tubular and rectangular culverts have been constructed and repaired.
