AEK “Kozloduy” Seeks Firm to Supply Backup Equipment from AEK “Belene”
AEK “Kozloduy” is in search of a company to deliver backup equipment from AEK “Belene.” The focus is on the block transformer, which was approved for sale by the National Electric Company (NEK) in May. Optimizing Equipment Maintenance and Sale Process
In order to ensure the reliability of the only operating Bulgarian nuclear power plant, as well as to optimize the time for maintenance activities, the decision of the Management Board states the need for equipment upgrades. It was then decided that the sale of the equipment would be conducted through direct negotiations between the two companies, with an initial sale price determined by an independent appraiser, in accordance with the regulations set out in the Public Enterprises Law. The Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant has already started relocating backup equipment from the Belene site, ensuring uninterrupted power supply in the country.
Transportation of a Block Transformer Type TC-630000/400-82 U1
When it comes to the transportation of a block transformer type TC-630000/400-82 U1 and the dismantled equipment and oil from it, there are specific requirements that need to be met. The order for this task is not prepared according to the standardized project of the contract by the Public Procurement Agency (PPA), as stated in the documentation. The reason for this deviation is the uncertainty regarding the transportation method of the goods – due to the nature of the contract subject, the contractor will be required to insure the delivered goods for transport.
The listed methods of transportation include transporting the transformer only by land. This ensures that the goods reach their destination safely and in compliance with all regulations. It is important to follow the specified guidelines to guarantee the integrity of the equipment during transportation.
Transporting a Transformer via the Republican Road Network
For the transportation of a 400-ton load, the Republican road network will be utilized. The transport will be organized by the road control authorities, who will escort it along a route agreed upon with them; primarily transporting the transformer by water. The cargo will be loaded onto a vessel and transported along the Danube River from the Belene Nuclear Power Plant to the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant. A small part of the route will involve transporting the transformer to the port of the Belene Nuclear Power Plant and from the port of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant to its destination – the EP-2 site.
Transport scheme for internal roads
This transport scheme will be used for internal roads. Its implementation will be directly dependent on the level of the Danube river. The indicative value of the tender is 1.5 million BGN (excluding VAT), but the documentation specifies that due to the same reasons, the price stated in the contract cannot be determined solely by a total value or individual prices, as stipulated in the standardized AOP form in the section “Price, order and payment deadlines”. Participant Selection Process for the Event
