Ten major Croatian companies are reported to pay salaries around 600 euros. Among the 1,000 largest companies in Croatia based on revenue from the previous year, ten stand out for their notably low wages offered to employees. Data from the Financial Agency reveals that approximately 5,000 individuals are employed by these companies, indicating that an equal number of families are likely struggling to make ends meet.
According to the decision made by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the minimum wage for 2023 was set at 700 euros gross, or 560 euros net. Starting this year, the minimum wage has increased to 840 euros gross, which translates to about 680 euros net per month.
