Malaysia expresses interest in joining BRICS
Another country is looking to become part of BRICS. This time, it’s Malaysia. Malaysia has sent a letter to Russia requesting to join BRICS. The news was confirmed by the Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim. “Malaysia has expressed openness to participate as a member country or a strategic partner,” Ibrahim stated in the announcement. Malaysia’s membership in BRICS was a major topic of discussion during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who is visiting Kuala Lumpur. Ibrahim also informed about his intention to Brazil.
The Rise of Asia in the New World Order
In June, Brazilian President Luis Kula da Silva made a statement regarding the future of world politics. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also shared his views on the matter, predicting that Asia will emerge as the dominant center of the world in the coming years. He believes that organizations such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will play a crucial role in shaping the new global order.
