Romania continues to fall in the ranking of countries with the fastest fixed internet, now losing its position to Hungary, after recently dropping in the ranking of countries with the cheapest tariffs.

Currently, in Eastern Europe, the fastest internet in terms of average download speed for broadband is in Slovakia (145.19 Mbps, ranking 19th) and Hungary (112.15 Mbps, ranking 34th), with Romania following closely behind (105.46 Mbps, ranking 38th), according to the annual study conducted by Cable.co.uk.
One year ago, Romania dropped from 15th place to 25th place in the global hierarchy, with an average download speed of 100.66 Mbps.
