SAMEDAY Acquires Pactic Group in Hungary
SAMEDAY has acquired the Pactic Group in Hungary, further expanding its regional presence. In 2023, the Pactic Group delivered a total of approximately 3.5 million packages.
Founded in 2010, the Pactic Group is a multi-brand platform that provides services for e-tailers and SMEs active in online commerce. Through courier service resellers Allpacka and Furgefutar, which are integral parts of the group, individual users can compare and access national and international delivery services with just a few clicks. Additionally, Pactic facilitates the complete outsourcing of logistical and delivery processes.
With headquarters in Budapest, the Pactic Group has around 40 employees and reported a turnover of approximately 15 million euros in 2023.
“We believe in delivery services without borders, providing customers with the same experience regardless of their location,” said a representative of the company.
Expanding Presence in the Region
SAMEDAY’s acquisition of Pactic group is another step in the company’s plan to improve its presence in the region. We remain committed to reaching 8,500 delivery points in the three countries where we operate by the end of the year, through new easybox units and the introduction of shop-in-shop solutions,” says Lucian Baltaru, CEO of SAMEDAY group.
Investment of 60 million euros
In April, SAMEDAY announced its intention to acquire the Hungarian courier company, Sprinter. After approval by the relevant authorities, the transaction was completed in June. SAMEDAY has delivered nearly 100 million parcels regionally in 2023 and is the first Romanian courier company to expand its operations beyond national borders. SAMEDAY Hungary was launched in 2020, followed by the Bulgarian branch in 2022. Since then, the number of online stores opting for their services has increased significantly.
Transport Services on the Rise
The demand for cross-border transportation services has doubled, with a 106% increase in 2023. The total investment planned by the SAMEDAY group for 2024 is over 60 million euros, half of which will be allocated to increasing delivery capacity through expanding the out of home network.
