About Rocanotherworld Festival
Rocanotherworld is not just a music festival. It is a journey filled with discoveries in the world of art, music, and people. Started in 2016 in Iasi, this event is organized by the Creative Industries Association and Showberry. The festival brings together people from different backgrounds, providing a vibrant and diverse environment where they (re)connect with values such as curiosity, individuality, and care for others. Alternosfera: A Unique Musical Experience
Alternosfera, with 6 albums and an EP under their belt, is ready to take you on an unforgettable sonic journey. Their lyrics touch on themes of love, social and political issues, while their sound stands out as unique in the Moldovan music scene, drawing inspiration from the ’80s and ’90s grunge scene in Seattle.
ARGATU: Blending Folklore with Urban Beats
Known for their unique blend of Romanian folklore with urban beats and electronic sounds, ARGATU made their official debut in 2012 as part of the Culese din Cartier collective founded by Subcarpați. With 10 albums released, they have created an impressive catalog that bridges the gap between old and new, traditional and modern.
Sarmalele Reci: A Music Band with a Unique Blend of Styles
Sarmalele Reci is a Romanian music band that embodies a variety of musical genres such as hip-hop, grime, dubstep, drum&bass, dub, dancehall, and basshouse. Their most recent album and independent release, titled “Tezaur,” was launched on December 1, 2023, marking a new chapter in their artistic journey.
With 30 years of experience in the music industry and thousands of concerts under their belt, Sarmalele Reci stands out for the originality and diversity of the styles they tackle. With 8 albums to their name, this band brings a special mix of rock’n’roll, funk, jazz, and folklore. Their songs carry emblematic and still relevant messages, forming a repertoire that has been hummed by entire generations.
Frate Gheorghe: A Moldovan Band with Eclectic and Original Approach
Frate Gheorghe is a band from the Republic of Moldova, composed of four talented and passionate members: Vitalie Colt on bass guitar, Sandu Cordonean on keyboards and guitar, Seva Peev on drums, and Gheorghe Bușilă as the lead vocalist and guitarist. La Chica: A Musical Fusion
La Chica is a musical artist who blends a variety of musical influences in her work. Her music ranges from indie-pop reminiscent of Tune Yards and Radiohead, to American hip-hop like Danger Doom, and Latin music such as La Fania All Stars and Juana Molina. In her compositions and music videos, La Chica creates a synthesis of classical music, rap, themes of death, street art, and Frida Kahlo. She has toured with artists like Yaël Naim and Zap Mama, showcasing her unique blend of musical styles.
RoadkillSoda: Representing Rock’n’Roll
RoadkillSoda emerged on the music scene in 2011 and has since become a true representative of rock’n’roll. The band has not only made a name for themselves locally, but also internationally. The atmosphere of the ’70s perfectly blends with their powerful riffs, solos, strong bass lines, and intense vocals, all accompanied by rhythms that make your heart beat faster.
Paul Tihan and Andra Andriucă, both from Iași, share the same stage and passion for music.
Exploring Indie Music in Romania
Paul and Andra are two talented musicians who are making waves in the Romanian indie music scene. Paul, with his indie poetry rock quintet, delves into his thoughts and experiences through his music. Andra, on the other hand, weaves soulful stories into her indie pop-rock tunes, captivating audiences with her heartfelt lyrics and melodies.
Dimitri’s Bats, a band that brings a fresh and independent perspective to the alternative-pop landscape in Romania, skillfully blends dance rhythms with alternative riffs, creating an eclectic sound with dark undertones in a unique vibe. Their latest EP, “Monobloc,” released at the beginning of 2023, has been followed by a national tour and several concerts across Europe.

Since 2015, Emann has been injecting the electronic music scene with his emotion, performing at renowned events like Techno Wall, Cyclic, Deep House Bucharest, Deep Dreamer, Trip In Romania, and festivals including Airfield, Afterhills, Neversea, Kudos Fest, Rocanotherworld, and Transylvania.
Eduard Draude: A Rising Star in the Electronic Music Scene
In 2020, alongside Australian producer Condriac, Eduard Draude released his first track on Amulanga Records, titled “Hemamea”, which quickly made its way into the TOP 100 Beatport – Deep House chart. With his eclectic musical selection, ranging from downtempo to funky grooves, Eduard Draude creates a unique atmosphere that captivates audiences.

Rocanotherworld 2024 Ticket Prices
Season passes and single-day tickets are available online, with prices ranging from 100 to 600 lei. Students and young adults can enjoy a 50% discount, while “Group Tickets/Passes” packages encourage friends to come together at a special price. Purchasing tickets or season passes for Rocanotherworld 2024 with an ING card will give you a 20% discount, automatically applied at checkout when selecting “ING” as the payment method.
Free Tickets for Children and People with Disabilities
Children under the age of 12 can attend the festival for free when accompanied by a paying adult. These free tickets can be obtained online on the festival’s website, under the “Free Pass” section. To enter the festival, a free ticket and proof of age up to 12 years old, such as a student ID or birth certificate (copy or online), are required.
People with disabilities and their companions can also benefit from free access to the festival by filling out the form in the FAQ – Tickets section, available on the festival’s website.
