Investing in Local Development and National Infrastructure
Investments in the development of communities and national infrastructure, made in this mandate, are the largest since independence. We aim to be able to invest even more. Joining the European Union will allow us to modernize more communities, faster, so that every family in the Republic of Moldova can have good living conditions,” said President Maia Sandu, after Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, reported on the actions taken by the institution he leads.
According to the head of state, since 2022, when the National Program “European Village” was initiated, almost 1.8 billion lei have been invested in 906 localities.
“This money has been used to improve living conditions in our villages and towns. The “European Village” program demonstrates that together – the central administration, with the financial assistance of partner countries from the European Union – we can make a difference.”
