Reserved Beach Shocks Local Resident in Greece
A local woman in Greece was taken aback after witnessing an unusual scene at a beach in the southern town of Polychrono. She captured footage of a portion of the beach, approximately 50 meters long, that was covered with towels and umbrellas, all secured with stones overnight. To complete the picture, there were also chairs arranged around the area.
According to her observations, these actions were carried out by residents from the Balkans, although she did not specify which nationality. “What is going on here?” questioned Katerina Tataropoulou, the woman behind the video. Naturally, her post garnered hundreds of comments, and it was shared in various local groups on social media platforms.
Public Reactions and Speculations
Some locals speculated that the towels belonged to Bulgarians, especially after the introduction of fees for beach amenities, which they deemed a common practice among some visitors. “They’ve taken over the beach,” commented Veselina G. “Ganyo is just reserving his spot,” added Dimitar I. “This is definitely a Bulgarian thing; they’ve ruined the beaches around Kavala,” remarked Mery D.
Others noted that a similar situation occurred in Bulgaria, specifically in the coastal town of Cherven Bryag, where visitors tied their belongings to umbrellas to prevent theft. Meanwhile, some commenters suggested that the culprits could be Romanian or Ukrainian tourists. “Nowhere did she mention Bulgarian tourists. She said tourists from the Balkans in general!” pointed out Ana J. “Romanians also engage in such nonsense,” wrote Rositsa U. “This is a Ukrainian tactic; they’ve patented it,” claimed Hristo F. “These are definitely not Bulgarians. There are no flip-flops or advertisements for medicines or mastics; there’s no chance these are from Bulgaria,” asserted Miro S.
