During the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government in Washington, D.C., the Turkish defense industry took part in the NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum. The forum aimed at strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defense through important meetings and negotiations, which were continued by the Turkish delegation.

Haluk Görgün emphasized the significance of these meetings and forums in creating opportunities to enhance the capabilities of Türkiye and its allies. He highlighted the importance of the defense industry infrastructure that has been developed through sacrifices influenced by geography and historical experiences.

Strategic Presence in Global Markets
Over the past 10 years, the Turkish defense industry has exported 230 products to 185 countries, showcasing its growing influence on the global stage. What started as $248 million in exports in 2002 has now reached an impressive $4.36 billion in 2022, highlighting the industry’s rapid growth and success.
Leading Companies in the Sector
Four Turkish companies – Aselsan, Baykar, TUSAŞ, and Roketsan – have been recognized on SIPRI’s top 100 defense companies list. This acknowledgment further solidifies Türkiye’s position as a key player in the defense industry and underscores the country’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
